And a rising sun from the East was foolish enough to entrust these castaways with their future crowning them as Kings and Queens…

Cecil Kramer, Maryann Garger, David Bowers, Paul Wang, Ken Tsumura, Pilar Flynn, Tim Cheung, Greg Emerson, Pepe Valenica… This is your reward - the stillbirth of Astro Boy. People stayed away from Astroboy because they felt the animation wouldn't be as good as Pixar's or DW's (because the director couldn't work hand in hand with the animators).

NOT!!

They stayed away because they didn't want to see a film called Astroboy right now. Maybe they would've wanted to see this movie in a month from now or maybe they would never want to see this film and Imagi made a poor decision to make it. But to assume it was because of slightly less than Pixar quailty animtion you're only fooling yourself.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22906998.post-73359001092277651692009-10-27T05:05:29.933-07:002009-10-27T05:05:29.933-07:00Unfortunately, AstroBoy flopped.

One of the worst animated movies I have seen in a while.

Yet another example of why you can't make a movie with the director and others scattered all over the world away from the production staff.

The director and main creative leadership HAVE to be on site.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22906998.post-66525197507511359672009-10-26T22:49:54.479-07:002009-10-26T22:49:54.479-07:00Paranormal was a surprisingly effective movie for ...Paranormal was a surprisingly effective movie for the first 75% of the film, then the premise just ran out of gas. Toward the end I felt sorry for the film makers. It was clear they didn't have an ending, but they sure did know how to build suspense.

Definitely not worth $10, but a good rental.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22906998.post-41020975852070011582009-10-26T09:30:10.071-07:002009-10-26T09:30:10.071-07:00The audience response to "Paranormal Activity...The audience response to "Paranormal Activity" was simply amazing. A $65 million budget, and is estimated to only earn $7 million opening weekend. This must be very sad news for all the folks at Imagi. I hope they will nonetheless continue through with their next movie.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22906998.post-88845062106238611612009-10-24T13:50:01.876-07:002009-10-24T13:50:01.876-07:00Unfortunately, it looks like Astro Boy flopped.
