It's so good to be out of circulation for a few days. You find out that the creative geniuses have been hard at work in your absence .
Warner Bros. is launching development of a "Marvin the Martian" feature at Alcon Entertainment, with principals Broderick Johnson and Andrew Kosove producing along with Steve Crystal.
It's good to know with the vast array of talent in Hollywood, with the fountain of new and exciting ideas, that WB is going to go with the fresh and different, circa five or six decades ago.
No doubt it will make a potful of money.

Wow, that's quite the stunning endorsement.
I'm not so sure it'll make money. Look what happened to "Looney Tunes: Back In Action". Bombed in its opening weekend. I think audiences know by now that some things just can't come back. And yet people try. Have you seen the ads for the new Disney special with the Muppets? THE MUPPETS??? Isn't buying them one of the brilliant moves that got Michael Eisner booted out? Who the hell wants to see them again?
I am genuinely surprised that there has not been a Tweety Bird Movie. If someone were trying to mine the past, Tweety Bird would seem ripe.
But as far as the Muppets... They are potentially great if handled well. They just have to be handled well.
Funny you should mention Tweety... http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0248575/
The earthquake the other day was Chuck Jones spinning in his grave.
