At Disney TVA

At Disney TVA Sonora, Emperor's New Groove is wending its way to the end of its latest season (The second, if my info is correct. The Replacements and Tigger and Pooh hum along in the Frank Wells Building on Disney's Buena Vista lot.)

Mickey's Clubhouse continues in production, and there aren't a lot of new series around any immediate corners...

A staffer told me: "I don't see TVA and Disney Channel prepping any big new series right away. The Channel has had big success with its live-action stuff, and everything else has to like, hit those markers.

"And the older skewing series aren't pulling those numbers, I don't think. The kiddie series -- 'Clubhouse' and 'Tigger and Pooh' -- probably have places on the schedule. But other stuff? Maybe it's picked up and maybe it's not. I just donno."

Meanwhile, the 'toon biz continues like it often does: one studio expanding, another contracting. And artists leaping from project to project, like lumberjacks jumping across whirling logs in a North Woods millpond.

I'm a lumberjack and I'm O.K.,

I'm interested to know what's in production. Living in the UK we are about 9 months behind you, we always seem to get your 'cast offs'...!

Tigger, Pooh and Friends, The Replacements, Emperor's New School, The Replacements, some young-kid series about a girl sleuth (the name of which escapes me).

There might be others but my brain is fried. Do a search of the site and something else will pop up, I'm sure.
