Leatherheads enters the ranks at #2. The movie that caused George Clooney to resign from the WGA and go financial core cellected $4,540,000 of a Friday evening, and we'll see how it performs the rest of the weekend ...

Nim's Island is in the third slot, having collected $3,850,000.

And Horton descends to fifth position, raking in $2.5 million for a domestic total of $124.5 million. Interestingly, the big elephant is the only 100+ million feture in the Top Ten.

Update: For the weekend, 21 remains on top with $15.1 million, with newbies Leatherheads ((13.3 million) and Nim's Island ($13.3 million) close behind.

The durable Horton, although dropping 48.7% in its fourth week, colected $9.1 million and now has a grand total of $131 million (U.S. and Canada).

New entry Shine a Light -- Martin Scorcese's rock documentary on the Rolling Stones -- debuted on 276 screens with the second highest per-screen average ($5,474).
