Up collects another honor during the honor season:.
Jonas Rivera, producer of "Up," has won the Producers Guild of America award for animation. "Up" topped "9," "Coraline," "Fantastic Mr. Fox," and "The Princess and the Frog." ...
I'm feeling like ... I donno ... we're looking at the picture that's going to end up with the "Best Animated Feature" Oscar.
Just a hunch. For some reason I don't think that The Fantastic Mr. Fox is going to snag it. But then, stranger things have happened.

I doubt it, too. I vote for Up, as I believe it's a far superior film on every level.
No...just furries. I thought the movie Mr. Fox was boring and very self indulgent. Like all of Anderson's films.
No wonder his films have all flopped.
Even the Disney film "Rushmore," which Anderson worked on, didn't make it's money back.
And it only cost $17 million.
In how many posts are you going to grace this blog with lies about Wes Anderson?
Royal Tenenbaums cost $21 million and the worldwide gross was $71.5 million.
Not a flop. You lose.
(and please don't reply - no one cares)
But it was a terrible film. He's a film maker w ho does not respect the audience.
I'm guessing it's not just Anderson who doesn't show you any respect.
I agree. Wes Anderson is a hack. Mr. Fox was one of the most BORING films I've ever had to sit through. What a fucking CHORE. And so JUVENILE.
Gee, I liked it. But I also liked Up and Cloudy, so what do I know?
"I agree. Wes Anderson is a hack."
A "HACK ????" You mean like Roger Corman? You may not like Anderson's work. I don't like everything he does, but he is certainly original and innovative. When he misses it's because he is always going for it creatively. He is anything but a "hack." You obviously don't know what the term means.
Why do I get the feeling that if Pixar made Fantastic Mr. Fox and Wes Anderson made Up that the tone toward Up would be different? I guess it's just cooler rooting against Pixar.
"Up" was effing boring!
God
If Pixar made Fantastic Mr Fox it wouldn't have looked like it was made on somebody's kitchen table.

You say that like it's a bad thing!
The production design of Mr. Fox was my favorite part of the movie; so charming and handmade.
