As a guy who worked on the old Garfield TV show, I looked forward to one day doing a Garfield feature film, traditionally animated of course. Such was not to be.
Instead, we have to 3D demon Garfield racking in all the cash. Who knew?
As for China. Must be cultural, I guess.
I'm not surprised. They love cats in China. They're delicious.
I think China is banning television animation to help grow their own (also prohibiting some theatrical releases, but who can resist the orange fur ball?)
