Hirsch to Fox

His Disney show is wrapping up, so time to move on.

“Gravity Falls” creator Alex Hirsch is graduating from the world of Disney with a deal to develop an animated series for Fox.

Hirsch has set a deal for a script and presentation pilot for Fox and 20th Century Fox TV. Details of the project are being kept mum.

“I’m cooking up some brand-new weirdness,” Hirsch told Variety. ...

Mr. Hirsch started his animation career at Cartoon Network on The Marvelous Misdventures of Flapjack, moved on to the Disney empire where he developed Fish Hooks with Maxwell Atoms, then his own show Gravity Falls, which was of course) a hit.

But the show is now ending. And when you've conquered one mountain, the natural inclination is to challenge another. We wish him all the best at Fox.

Seems your prediction from half a year back didn't quite come true. ;) http://animationguildblog.blogspot.no/2015/07/ratings-topper.html

In this case, I'm glad for it.
