Is there any organization other than the IATSE that is looking to unionize VFX?
Currently? To my knowledge, the IATSE is the only labor organization with an active interest.
The IBEW is also looking to organize the VFX artists. They are a good strong union, which has strong collective agreements and stands behind their members. The IATSE doesn't have the same ability to get a good collective agreement, just look at the mess they made in Vancouver on Battlestar.
