Sounds like a Cal Howard gag.
I can picture a somewhat toasted animator holding an arm full of cats outside the Animation Guild.
In these days of recession, it doesn't hurt to have a back up line of business.
I'm not sure if Cal wrote for Burns and Allen, but I did feel like I was on the phone with Gracie.
