Quebec director Nancy Florence Savard's debut movie is billed as Canada’s first-ever 3D animated feature film, and makes its mark with a strong visual signature that Savard says sets it apart from slick Hollywood offerings.

First ever? What about Gnomeo and Juliet? Hood-Winked Too? Space Chimps? What about Pixar shorts that are done in Canada?
I get how those others aren't Canadian funded. Or Canadian themed. But when they're made in Canada, by Canadian artists, I like to believe they count as Canadian.
I'm weird that way.

"Canadian Content" and Canadian involvement tend to be tricky areas to weave through.
