Cal Arts Posse

Vanity Fair tells the tale of

... directors who had been students in the California Institute of the Arts’ animation programs [that] generated more than $26 billion at the box office since 1985 ...

And are still generating billions.

A good story well told. (A few minor facts are wrong near the end, but history is written by the winners. So there you are.)

What facts at the end were wrong?

Not saying. I'm a political animal.

The article is mostly right. And its major point - how Walt Disney's little art university out in the scrubby foothills of Santa Clarita has given back BIG time to the movie industry -- is completely accurate.
