This is one of my favorite designs from the R.H. canon. Ralph did a lot of New England winter scenes over the years, and the stuff he did with covered bridges and small New England villages and clapboard churches are among his best. -- S.H.

Thanks for posting these great paintings by your Dad Steve. Its good to see work done outside of the studios. Its a good change of pace, and your Dad was really talented, excellent artist! I will get up the office to see his work before the end of the year.
