Big China Launch

When in the biggest country in the world, it pays to be high profile.

The Shanghai International Film Festival has picked Pixar’s sequel to open its 16th edition on June 15. Monsters University will be the first 3D or animated pic to christen the fest. Walt Disney Studios also will screen 16 Pixar shorts during the Shanghai fest ...

This looks like a major marketing coup for the Mouse. China offers up major box office to the filmmaker who can break through the government red tape and the inertia. Looks as though the usual aggravating impediments are being taken care of.

Umm you can pay off anyone in China to get anything done and Disney for sure has the cash to payoff whomever.
