I seem to be buried in union bidness today, with little time (thus far) for blogging. But DreamWorks is continuing the publicity drum-beats for Shrek the Third. I got this in my e-mail...
I like to think of it as "snail dancing viral video, part deux."

Wow... what a difference some gravity makes. Smashing!
Hmmm... was that a pun?
Ummm...could someone from Dreamworks please elaborate on this...thing? The only two possibilities I can think of are:
1)It was outsourced to Bangledesh
or
2)Dreamworks animators were given 2 minutes to do it.
someone kill me now.
Needs more baby.
this is one of the most unappealing pieces of animation i have seen since Ally Mcbeal!
i hope the film looks nothing like this. they really should pull it off of YouTube even.
SHREK IS AWFUL, GODDAMMIT! STOP LIKING IT! IT'S AWFUL! THERE IS NOTHING GOOD ABOUT IT! NOT ONE THING! IT SUCKS! SO STOP WATCHING IT! STOP!
I have a friend working at DW and he said the entire place was furious about this thing. Apparently this all went through marketing, who hired a web PR firm to handle the whole thing. The PR firm was given unrigged models and they did everything themselves. Marketing seemed to think this was fine and nobody in animation knew about it until it hit the web.
I know a lot of people have differing opinions on the quality of the Shrek franchise, but a lot of people did work very hard on it. Just imagine how it feels to pour yourself into a project for a couple of years only to have it represented like this. I'd be pissed too.
i'm sorry but what's the difference between this and regular pdi/dreamworks animation crap.
haha.
try 4 years.
W - O - R - S - E Aimation EVER SEEN!
Please tell me that Shrek Baby thing didn't get to the public's viewing.
