We're going to have a dimensional kind of future.
As Twentieth Century Fox’s 3D spectacle, “Avatar,” becomes the top-grossing film in movie history, studios across Hollywood are scrambling to make sure that they take advantage of a revolution that is quickly remaking the industry ... Avatar’s” success has spurred Warner Bros. to hop on the 3D bandwagon ... “Titans,” a remake of the 1981 film based on the Greek myth of Perseus, stars Sam Worthington (who also leads in “Avatar”) in its title role ... The studio also announced that it will convert ["Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows"] for a 3D release in November ...
This was easy to see coming. Warners is retrofitting some of its upcoming tent-poles with three dimensions because the monster entertainment conglomerate, like our other fine entertainment companies -- is quick to sniff a dollar. And because it has the soul of a lemming.
But the hell with Harry Potter. What I want to know is when Warners is going to retrofit The Adventures of Robin Hood so that I can see all those flying arrows and sword fights in Three Dee.
