New "Animation Domination High-Def" Entries

... cable division.

“Axe Cop” and “High School USA” will be joined by previews of “Lucas Bros. Moving Co.” and “Golan the Insatiable” in November

Fox’s new Saturday late-night animation block, Animation Domination High-Def, will return Nov. 2 with new episodes of “Axe Cop” and “High School USA!”

New episodes will continue every Saturday in November, featuring guest voices such as Michael Madsen (“24”), Jane Adams (“Hung,” “Frasier”), Scoot McNairy (“Argo”) and Deborah Ann Woll (“True Blood”).

On Nov. 23, new 15-minute series “Lucas Bros. Moving Co.” and “Golan the Insatiable” will preview, prior to their Jan. 2014 premieres.

We had a meeting of TAG's shop stewards today, and the subject of Fox's low-rent cartoon studio Friends Night (where these shows are being produced) came up. Lower pay. No health or pension benefits. And long hours.

Everything you could want in a cartoon studio and more. But hey, it's a place where 23-year-old artists can be exploited in the service of one of our fine, entertainment conglomerates, so it's all good.

At least they're getting paid. I rather work there, then have to go through unpaid internships at some big named studio.

It's all relative, I guess. You also get paid deep frying potatoes at MacDonald's.
