"The Animator", March 1946 - pages 3 and 4

Here, for your perusal, are the next two pages of "The Animator," the official publication of the Screen Cartoonists Guild, circa 1946.

There was talk of a building alongside Cahuenga Blvd. that would serve various Hollywood entertainment unions. For whatever reason, it never got off the ground ...

And there was talk of Disney casting Burl Ives in "Johnny Appleseed," a part that ultimately went to Disney Day of the "Jack Benny Show. Plus there was fretting about an anti-labor bill in congress titled the "Case Bill" which would have damaged the right to strike.
