Your Nominations!

No doubt everyone and his auntie and uncle are already out and up with these. Nevertheless ...

Best animated feature film of the year
•“Brave” Mark Andrews and Brenda Chapman
•“Frankenweenie” Tim Burton
•“ParaNorman” Sam Fell and Chris Butler
•“The Pirates! Band of Misfits” Peter Lord
•“Wreck-It Ralph” Rich Moore

Best animated short film
•“Adam and Dog” Minkyu Lee
•“Fresh Guacamole” PES
•“Head over Heels” Timothy Reckart and Fodhla Cronin O’Reilly
•“Maggie Simpson in “The Longest Daycare” David Silverman
•“Paperman” John Kahrs

No big surprises here, except that DramWorks Animation didn't get a nomination.

The Academy wanted to spread the kudos around ... to our fine entertainment conglomerates and smaller studios alike.

For what it's worth, Dreamworks' Rise of the Guardians picked up three nominations for the Visual Effects Society awards.

Wow, I can't believe Rise of the Guardians didn't get nominated.. It was my favorite animated film of the year.

THREE stop-motion films nominated for best feature . Wow. Good morale boost for the stop-mo community (although none of those films performed too well at the box-office , which is a shame because they were all good , especially ParaNorman and The Pirates)
