DPS-Film Roman Agreement Finalized

Yes, the new Animation Guild Collective Bargaining Agreement was negotiated last month. And yes, the ratification vote ends April 24th, but that was for studios that were in what's known as "The Animation Bargaining Unit." Film Roman isn't -- yet -- a member of that select group... But as of yesterday, the studio agreed to the August 1, 2006 Memorandum of Agreement. Which means that the DPS-FR contract becomes part of the same ratification process. Which means that most studios in L.A. County will be parties to the ratification occuring next Monday. (Disney Feature Animation, Disney Toons, and Sony Pictures are represented by the Animation Guild under separate IATSE contracts.)
