"Ice Age 2" Overseas
It wasn't just the domestic box office that was overwhelmed by the "ICa Age 2" deluge...
Per this morning's trade papers, "Ice Age 2" rolled up a $47.5 million weekend at foreign venues, pushing "The Pink Panther" off the top of the charts.
THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER said: "'Meltdown's' international premiere eclipsed that of the most recent international powerhouse, Buena Vista International's "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe," which bowed December 9 and pulled about $42 million..."
Seems to us as if Fox has itself a real tall tent-pole.
