Great interview! I heard a story that Kathy once complained to Peter Schneider (or was it Tom?) that Frollo was the most complicated to draw character Disney had ever had, and Peter just laughed at her! Don't know if there's any truth to that or not.

I'm sure Kathy said no such thing, but If she did then Schneider probably laughed because he was thinking of Shere Khan or Aurora or Prince Philip or... any number of other great Disney characters. I've always found Frollo unappealing.

I doubt very seriously schneider knows who those other characters were...at all.

And Frollo was a good character in a weak film--beautifully acted by Zeilinsky. Unlike that jafar character in Aladdin who wouldn't stop moving and was cliche on top of liche of bad "acting."
