Your February Weekend B.O.

Now with deep-fried Add On

As of Thursday, the Long-Haired Girl was at #12 with $190 million in the gunny sack. The bear named Yogi was at number thirteen with $93 million ...

It's going to be a subdued weekend, what with football and big fat snowstorms. (As of right now, nobody seems to be posting the Friday tallies. Maybe it's me ...)

For Friday, Yogi and Rapunzel occupy the 13th and 14th slots, while The Roommate moved into Dormitory Number One. (Like I say, not a super-huge, hyperactive weekend.)

Add On: The (tentative) totals are in, and the two newbies, The Roommate and Sanctum, end up with $15.6 million and $9.2 million respectively.

Down the chart in Cartoonland, Tangled has now earned $192.1 million while the bear named Yogi has collected $95.5 million.

As CNBC reports:

Revenue estimates were off sharply on Sunday as football fans gave movies a pass in favor of the big game. Even without the Super Bowl, though, it was another sleepy weekend at theaters, with overall business down for the 13th-straight weekend compared to last year, when Cameron's 3-D sensation "Avatar" still was riding high. ...

That's impossible!

I've been told by experts at Disney that no one wants to see a princess movie!

Considering you were one of the people naysaying this film right and left during its creation, you might want to check out of your own glass house before you throw another stone.

The "experts" at Disney made a hit. It might be a moment for you to reflect that maybe they know a little bit about what they're doing, and dial back the snark. Criticism is fine, but snark is really unbecoming.

Give people a break. Just honestly give folks some credit (and maybe some respect) for a moment. I think they actually earned it, you know?

Just because Disney did make a hit does not mean they "the experts" know what they are doing.. I think floyd was referencing the management and not the artists when he was talking about experts..Floyd has always been supportive of the artists working here and wishes the best for the studio.. I think you should be giving a little more respect to floyd and understand what his points are rather then think he is giving any snarky comments..

From someone who actually works at the studio I agree with Floyd~ I don't think the "experts" do know what they are doing.. They will say one thing at one moment in time and quickly change to suite their own purposes.. but only people who have actually worked at the studio would understand that..

I work at the studio too.

Hey guys, I'll let you in on a secret - some people that don't work at the studio are a-holes and some are not and some people that do work at the studio are a-holes and some are not.

Let's see if you guys can figure out who you are....

I know who both of you are, and you're both getting layed off soon.
