Apparently lots of collateral damage has taken place in the Democratic Party Embezzlement Bamboozle.
Hollywood donors are high on the list of political donors whose money is presumed lost in an alleged embezzlement scheme that led to the arrest last week of a longtime Democratic operative.

Sony, Disney, News Corp., labor group IATSE and the Motion Picture Assn. of America are among the top donors whose funds have been lost, along with several million dollars in the campaign war chest of California Democratic Senator Dianne Feinstein (left), according to Opensecrets.org. ...
I'm sure that donors ... including all the IA union representatives that contribute to the IATSE's PAC ... just tingle all over at the Great Swindle.
Ms. Durkee has now been charged with mail fraud.
... [Kinde Durkee] is in settlement negotiations with federal prosecutors, a law enforcement source said Tuesday. ...

"SETTLEMENT?" Most likely with an agreement to not admit any wrongdoing. I say Tar and Feather.
Oh noes... millions in corporate money funnelling into a corrupt system didn't make it all the way to the correct part of the corruption!
It's Bush's fault...
so, my 401k is gone?
No--that's the economy. Imagine giving a large tax break to the wealthy and putting 2 wars on a credit card.
Remember--bush let 9/11 happen.
Mission accomplished.
Just barely tangential to the members of local 839 but guaranteed to get a ton of left/right comments. Thanks for the shit-stirring Popeye!
Here's a lesson - don't give any money at all and see what real democracy looks like. Vote with your brain, or in the booth, or with a picket sign, right? Good governance is never created out of money.
And don't give me this bullshit that the other side does it so we have to. That's precisely Citizens United's position.
@12:33- So, where exactly does "good governance" come from? Who, in your perception, epitomizes, (or epitomized), "good governance?"
Really, you have to ask? Sorry you flushed the money you gave away, really, I am.
