Sony Animation/Aardman’s coproduction of The Pirates! Band of Misfits grossed $10 million on the weekend, playing at a total of 3,890 venues in 29 markets, and raising its early oversea gross total to $25.2 million.

Lorax has no taken in a grand total of $257.2 million around the globe, while Pirates! has yet to be released stateside.
