We're back!

Starting sometime Wednesday evening, anyone trying to bring up the TAG Blog at got an error message. We just got put back online after well over twelve hours -- far and away the longest blackout since we started the TAG Blog in February.

We were able to log in to the "dashboard" -- the area where we post messages and do maintenance -- so we knew the blog hadn't vanished into the ether. But we still have no word from the people as to what happened or if we can expect it to happen again.

So, cross your fingers ...

Blogger's performance has been sluggish this morning. The culprit seems to be a bunch of spammers creating spam blogs at a high-rate. We are locking the spam creators out from Blogger and monitoring the system to see that there are no other issues. Thanks for your patience.

Update 2:55 PM (PST): This issue has been solved. Please report publishing problems to us if you still see them.

Internet rule #1214: When in trouble, blame the spammers ... we shall see ...
