Green Froggy On Silver Disk

PhillyBurbs.com touts "The Princess and the Frog" as the top rental and sales dvd of the week, soaring above Up In the Air, Precious and Astroboy ...

The problem with that take is, there isn't a lot of hard data out yet. And next week, Twilight Deux bounds from the gate, so what Green Froggy's numbers will look like then is anybody's guess.

TPandTF's worldwide theatrical totals haven't changed too much: $247,047,141 to date. The feature might climb a wee bit higher before the shiny silver circles become the main method of distribution; we'll have to wait and see. I've no idea what markets remain untapped.

the worldwide take for the Princess hasn't been updated a while on the Numbers (the million it plussed the last week were the updates on the domestic take. boxofficemojo has and states a $264.110.652 slate worldwide, so that's good! :)

The box office sites often lag. More's the pity.

it is making cash and lots of it, but I still don't hear that they are happy enough.

Everyone I know, regardless of age, seems to be buying copies. And only some of them are aware of the rebates. Maybe the time of the theatrical release (just before Avatar and Alvin) was the main reason the film didn't do so well in this country, because it seems to be doing fine both overseas and now on video (or at least better than I thought it was)

So, DW folks, the next time YOU complain about your movie being "cruelly sabotaged" by geek-hyped 3-D CGI epics that opened one week later, stop and think a little bit about how OTHER studios might have had their misunderstood problems, too... :)

I work at Dreamworks and I've never heard anyone make those claims or wish Frog anything ill.

You fanboys are entirely clueless and simply embarrass yourselves in comment after comment.
