The Brew highlights a Warner Bros. press release:
... [The animated short] "Daffy's Rhapsody" makes its theatrical debut in tandem with "Journey 2: The Mysterious Island" opening nationwide Friday, February 10th. ... Featuring an original story and all-new animation, the short stars the voice of the late, legendary Mel Blanc in Daffy’s song ...
Dwayne Johnson and Daffy Duck, a marriage made in heaven ...
Matt O'Callaghan showed me this short a few months back, and I found it damn funny. Matt did a whole string of new shorts for WBA over two years. Directed and boarded in Burbank. Animated by Reel Effects in Texas.
(O'Callaghan pushed hard to keep the characters true to their classic looks, even though the new shorts were CGI and 3-D. He did a solid job in all departments.)

someone please stop Matt O'Callaghan from making any more of his awful shorts. His Tweety and Sylvester was an abomination. A breakneck, ugly, unfunny mess.
Somebody please tell Warner Brothers that no matter what sort of 3D Looney Toons ass raping you put on the front of these abominations you call a live action movie.....Nobody is going to want to come watch either one of them.
Stop the Insanity.
Even Brendan Frasier had the good sense to jump off this train...
That should speak volumes as to what you're doing.
I, too, find these CG 'Looney Toons' shorts unfunny. Also, the pacing is frentic and the camera angles are extreme and awkward.
They were not able to recapture the charm and the humour of the original shorts.
They're horribly produced, with cheap looking animation from somewhere in Asia.

I have seen most of these shorts - I took my kids to see the various movies that they were in front of and guess what, my kids loved them - they laughed all the way through them. Imagine that kids laughing at a product intended for them. These shorts were not made for bitter jerks like those who made the comments listed above - they were made for KIDS! And for the last poster - the animation was done in Texas - not Asia - if you are gonna bitch and whine at least get you facts straight. Kudos to you Steve for sticking up for Matt and Reel FX - here's hoping they do more!
Racism?
Is anyone else feeling that these posts that blast Asians and those from India, etc. a little bit on the racist side?
Thank you Steve, I could not have said it better myself.
"How do I put this diplomatically?
You don't know what the fuck you're talking about."
Nice language from a Union Rep. Very professional. AND it seems from the comments that not everyone loves those shorts. Try watching them with the classics. They pale in comparison.
I have to agree that the Tweety-rehash short completed so far was pretty much what the above posters say it is. I wish I could say otherwise. And that has absolutely nothing to do with how much I like some of the people involved in making it. It IS fairly ugly, frenetic, unimaginative and full of tiresome "look at me in 3D!" angles that serve zero purpose.

I agree with you completely. There's a basic lack of understanding when it comes to using 3D well.
But in Steve's opinion (the opinion of your union rep) "You don't know what the fuck you're talking about."

You will note I have the balls to attach my NAME to my opinion.
Although I agree with the comments about the frenetic pacing, the lack of humour, and the awkward camera angles, I disagree with the comments about the "chep-looking" animation and the "ugly" visuals.
I found the animation to be top-notch and the visuals appealing. They managed to translate the characters' design in CG quite successfully.
No, they're horribly produced cheap looking shorts from reelfx in Dallas. They do those awful open season sequels.
