Thought Food

... And quite nourishing, too.

... [T]he top 1 percent has done progressively better in each economic recovery of the past two decades. In the Clinton era expansion, 45 percent of the total income gains went to the top 1 percent; in the Bush recovery, the figure was 65 percent; now it is 93 percent. ...

Makes my patriotic heart swell with pride. So let's shoot for 96%! Romney 2012!

All that with the lowest tax rates in 50 years!
Now about paying for that unecessary war in Iraq...

It is really unecessary for us to pay for the war of Iraq...

And it's uneccessaty for us to pay higher taxes to cover people who don't buy health insurance and go to the emergency room at the last moment when problems cost so much more. Especially when they smoke, eat bad, and don't excersise. If everyone had to pay for health insurance, the costs would come down--like in Switzerland (that has the best medical care in the world).

^ This is how it starts with government health care, they start deciding that grandma doesn't need to live anymore or someone young who's health is deemed to expensive for the collective. No wonder why 70% of the country doesn't want it.

Think you missed the point, Steve. Under Mr. Social Justice, the figure is 93 per cent. Much higher than when Bush was prez. Despite the myth that Republicans favor the rich, many many rich people support Democrat candidates. Guess now we know why...

I happen to disagree with the rates now in place. Think we would be better off with the Clinton-era rates.

We do nothing, they kick back in on January 1. (The Republicans have already agreed to this.)

No doubt Congress will intervene before January 1st. And I still won't like it.

Where in the post do I ever mention President Obama?

I must have missed it.

And don't forget, bush let 9/11 happen, and let jobs disappear in America. If you haven't noticed, while the employment situation in the U.S. ain't great, it's only gotten better, substantially, since bush was gotten rid of.

^ hahahahaha .... thats awesome. Clueless strikes again, still blaming Bush for the past 3 years.

^hahahaha...clueless right wing FOXnews watcher strikes again. Doesn't realize by ALL reports that things have improved in the last 3 years since W was tossed out.

"still blaming Bush for the past 3 years."

It will take decades to undo the damage shrub did to America. Worst "president" ever.
