Gaumont Animation will distribute the series in France and French-speaking Europe. DreamWorks Animation owns Noddy and retains additional global distribution rights and manages licensing and merchandising for the property.
The name of the game is building (or re-invigorating) cartoon franchises and then pushing the merchandising envelope in a major way. Something that DWA didn't do in earlier days, but is doing now.
The Disney model of movies/merchandise/cable networks/amusement parks is three miles away in Burbank. And Jeffrey is a alumnus of the Mouse so he knows all this. High time that DreamWorks Animation make the synergy work for them.
