The interesting thing is, it's only the latest boffo weekend for animation this year. There has also been "How to Train Your Dragon," "Shrek Forever After," "Toy Story 3," "Despicable Me," with "Tangled" still to come. (Let's not count the hybrids.)
Has there ever been this many big, money making animated features released in a single year? We can't think of any.
