I watched the original "Pink Panther" film the other day. THAT'S when the Panther had appeal. Since then he's dwindled into a scrawny gawky big-footed idiot, minus any charm or personality. Pity.

But I hear the French like him...

If you're complaining about his current CN incarnation, possibly. (I repeat, possibly...The Ant & Aardvark toons certainly suffered.)

But you have to have seen him in his vintage 60's DePatie-Freleng short days, with John Dunn writing his gags: Pink took up Bugs Bunny's mantle of Ultimate Cool. :)

The only Panther short I saw in which the Panther retained the charm he had in the original film was the one where he tried to paint everything pink while some short guy tried to paint everything blue. All the other shorts reeked.

I'm sure the kids at Camp Ronald McDonald share your disdain. Seriously, this is a post about doing something nice for kids, and you're ragging on the poster? Be nice!
