Voice Additions to "Arthur Christmas"

An Aardman Animation outpost in Culver City, California has been busy creating a new CG feature. They've added some voices:

[James McEvoy and Hugh Laurie ] join Jim Broadbent, Bill Nighy and Imelda Staunton for Aardman's first movie under its 3-year Sony Pictures Animation deal. ...

It's been reported to us that this feature is rolling along smoothly, even ahead of schedule, and we hope the best for it. Because you can never have too many successful animated features.

Jim Broadbent and Bill Nighy have worked together before, and on ANOTHER animated feature:http://www.talktalk.co.uk/video/680/entertainment/The-Magic-Roundabout-Trailer/#680

I think you might be hearing wrong.

yeah, between constant changes, a first time feature animation director, a fired experienced co-director, and multiple experienced crew members leaving the show (some on their own accord, some fired) smooth is not the best way to describe this feature.

Who reported it was going smoothly? Obviously not someone who's actually doing the work.

Yup, Dreamworks have snagged most of sony's best talent now.

"Jim Broadbent and Bill Nighy have worked together before"

Not exactly. They may have been in the same film, but they never worked together.
