Charging Right Along

Disneys animal picture seems to be catching on here and there.

Disney Animation’s Zootopia crossed $200M yesterday in international markets and is on the verge of crossing $100M domestically to bring its global total after two weeks to $300M. The international grosses were lifted in both Russia and China during the holiday of Women’s Day.

The film currently sits at $299.7M worldwide. ...

As the Wise Old Cartoon Producer once said to me, "You can never go wrong with an animal feature."

By way of illustration, the other animal movie in the marketplace, Kung Fu Panda 3 is also doing well, though it's not as high-flying as Zoo. To date, Panda has earned $327,008,221.
