Foreign B.O.

Not all the numbers are in, but animated stuff seems to be performing. ...

Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked ... collected $24.4 million on the weekend – up 48% from last weekend, says Fox -- from 6,764 locations in 57 territories. ... Arthur Christmas elevated its overseas cume to $96.9 million since its Nov. 11 opening overseas after a $3.5 million weekend at 3,930 sites ...

And Puss in Boots has now earned north of $400 million worldwide, with $255.2 million coming from overseas turnstyles.

Same with Cars 2---$560 Million ww theatrically, with another $5 billion in toys contributing to Disney's bottom line.

It's always good to remember that studios have magical accounting, almost always.

What gets charged to a production ... and what that production actually costs ... are not necessarily the same things.

There are "profits." And then there is cash flow.
