It appears that Tintin is fading rapidly. The boy journalist doesn't have the same mojo on this side of the Atlantic that he enjoys in Europe.

Well they tried (and hopefully the anonymous people won't get on my case either).
Tintin has never been popular in America, same as Asterix, I doubt that this is a huge suprise.
If Tintin's international total is still good enough to warrant a sequel, you think they could change the art style just a little for the next one? Those cell-shaded opening credits were beautiful; cell-shade the next film to reduce the Uncanny Valley effect and I'm sure it would play a lot better with general audiences. Or at least with me.
Tin Tin hasn't yet turned a profit to cover the cost of the film. It will, but hasn't really caught the imagination of many people.
