Just so you can mark your newly bought calendars - the date for this years Animators' Afternoon of Remembrance will be Saturday February 7th at Noon ... at the Animation Guild [located at 1105 N. Hollywood Way, Burbank].
The list of honorees is still being finalized, but will include among others: Arthur Rankin, Michael Sporn, Yasuki Hamano, Liz Holzman, Hal Sutherland, Lefty Callahan, Jimi Murakami, Frank Terry, Paul Gruell, Stan Phillips, Larry Latham and Robin Williams. If you'd like to help out or speak for someone, feel free to drop a line to me or the other committee members. Bronwen Barry, Jerry Beck ...
For those unfamiliar with this event, it's a way for the animation community to remember its own. And this non-denominational Memorial service has been held for a long string of years now, first at the Hollywood Presbyterian Church, then at the Lasky Barn near the Hollywood Bowl, and now at the Animation Guild's meeting hall in Burbank. (So the memorial has been slowly working its way north.)

Why you cold, ghoulish S.O.B. You'll no doubt be ecstatic when Mickey Mouse bursts into flames.
