Still On Top

As it was in June, so is it now:

... Across the first week of July, Cartoon Network ranked as television’s #1 network for Total Day & Early Evening Prime (7-9 p.m.) delivery of boys 2-11, 6-11 & 9-14. Average growth among kids 9-14 grew 14% (397,000) in Total Day and 10% (488,000) in Early Evening Prime.

Cartoon Network also ranked as the #1 television network (broadcast & cable) among all boys (2-11, 6-11, 9-14) on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday night (7-9 p.m.), and #1 on Saturday night among boys 2-11.

Annoying Orange (Monday, 8:30 p.m.) ranked as the #1 telecast of the week among boys 9-14; its Tuesday, 6:15 p.m. encore ranked as the #1 telecast of the week among boys 2-11 & 6-11. Additional Monday night original comedies Adventure Time (7:30 p.m.), Regular Show (8 p.m.) and MAD (8:45 p.m.) each ranked #1 in their respective time periods among all boys 2-11, 6-11 & 9-14. ...

Television animation in its various incarnations is a steady performer for our fine entertainment conglomerates. Unlike its theatrical cousin, being a hand-drawn presentation isn't an impediment to commercial success. In fact, you could argue that, with the possible exception of the DreamWorks Animation t.v. franchises, C.G.I. animation in televisionland isn't really a factor.

Nice to see "Annoying Orange" doing so well. Thanks to directors, Ken Mitchroney and David Skelly for inviting me to the party.
